I just had a
group from MN return from Kansas on a turkey hunt. There were seven hunters
and they shot 13 birds. Hunters saw anywhere from 18 birds in two days to
135 birds in two days. The food, camp, hospitality were all very good. The
outfitter worked hard for them and moved them around to great set ups. It
was obvious they had scouted the areas. In all, a first class trip with no
headaches lining up the hunt. They will be rebooking for 2010 for 10
hunters.

Just got back from Ontario. Cold front hit and shut off the brookies and
lake trout. Concentrated on pike and walleyes. Great action for both. I
caught a 42 inch northern and our limit of walleyes right at the resort in
about 1.5 hours.

I fished today along with friends and family with our guide in New York. We
were offshore fishing Lake Ontario for early season king salmon, the weather
was spectacular and the fishing was good. Trolling in 150'-200' of waters,
the guide does a fantastic job making sure everyone knows what is going on
and explains everything from bait selection to fishing technique. Everyone
had a chance on the rods and we brought home plenty of salmon. We will be
going back this fall for the spawn on the salmon river. We had a great
time!

The trip was great! We caught fish. I caught two real nice native
steelhead (10 & 13 pounds) and lost two. The river was very murky because
of the run off. I'm glad we had a guide that knew the river otherwise we
would not have caught any fish. Thank you for setting this trip up for us.

I just had a client return from Colorado on an antelope bow hunt. He LOVED
it! Great accommodations (remodeled farm house), great food, lots of
animals, not too many hunters, great guides. He did not harvest a goat, but
plans to go back.

I just received feedback from Larry Hall who went to Florida to hunt gator.
He killed two gators, a 7 footer and 8 footer on his hunt. Larry said
everything was top knotch and would recommend them to anyone. Everything
went like clock work, they were also very helpful in helping to get Larry's
bow set up prior to the hunt.

...speaking of gators, I took an 11' gator last weekend on the inspection
trip to Texas. We had a great cast-n-blast weekend. The place is going to
be good for corporate groups.

I just received this information from my two clients who hunted down in New
Mexico for antelope. "We had a great time on the hunt. Still can't believe
that one man can own so much ground. How awesome is that?"

Had a great experience, unfortunately the moose did not coroperate. It was
unseasonably warm and had all the game shut down. I saw a few cows and
calves at first and last light. The outfitter did all they could do to make
it as good as possible. Great food, good as a wilderness wall tent camp can
be, and great family people to guide you. Thanks for all of your help
through this process.

Opening day, October 1, 2009, 8:00am. New Mexico bull scored 391.5 inches.
He had 6" broke off of his G1 or he would have scored 397.5.

Just a quick note from our moose and pheasant
hunt. Moose were in the far north of Manitoba and the pheasant on our return
through Kansas. Both were great hunts, 3 out of 4 on moose (with the 4th
hunter missing one). The largest moose was 60 in, the next 54 in and then
mine, a smaller but tasty year and 1/2 old. He weighed in at 600 lbs while
the other 2 were 1000 lbs! Pheasant hunt was great, our group of 5 hunted
together with a limit of 30 birds shot in just 4 hours! The total group of
13 had just as good luck, although they seemed to miss more than us and had
to shoot a few in the afternoon. Is this not a great country where we have
the opportunity to do these things! God bless the men and women that are
keeping us safe.

Last night I got a call from one of our
outfitters in New Mexico. He asked me if my client, John West, had a GPS.
When I told him I didn't know, he said he had put him on a stand earlier in
the day and was back to pick him up and John was gone. He went on to tell
me that it was getting dark and cold and he needed to find John quickly or
he may have to spend the night alone. I was dumbfounded. Turns out, I was
just dumb. I heard John and Ron start laughing and yelling we're just
messing with you. John then got on the phone and told me that he had just
taken a big 6X6 and that I had a very happy client. John then told me he
would send pictures as soon as he got home. I can't wait to see his
pictures, but it's not nice to mess with an old man's heart that way.

Hope you had a good trip to New Mexico . We
got back Sunday evening and I must say we had a great time. The weather was
perfect and the scenery was great. We were out there the same time as the
owner of DPMS rifles was filming a show on hunting with AR rifles. Got to
meet Dick Metcalf and visit with him for a while. The first day we hunted a
15,000 acre ranch that had not been hunted yet this year. We saw a herd of
aoudad sheep, a mule deer, javelina, couple of coyotes and 4 antelope.
There were several on a neighboring ranch on the way in but we could not get
into them where we were. Only one was a buck. We got moved to a different
ranch on day two and were successful before noon. My son shot one that
scored a 68 at what the guide said was about 150 yards. I think it really
was a little closer than that but I will never tell my son. He was and
still is pumped. We had a great time. Thanks for your help.

Our hunt was successful! We had five hunters in camp with three guides. I
lucked out with a 1x1 hunt with my guide and shot my deer the second day. I
had a great guide who taught me much on how to spot and stalk mule deer in
some beautiful country. The accommodations were great and "ma" was a great
cook. I would recommend this outfitter in Montana to someone looking for a
mule deer hunt.

Got back Wednesday afternoon. Fantastic time! Kevin and Brennan were
great. Hunting was silly. Day 1: limit in 90 minutes; Day 2: limit in 50
minutes; Day 3: Shot 15 roosters in 25 minutes. Spent yesterday in rehab
trying to "dry out."

8 for 8 in Nebraska! The whitetail were rutting hard and the mulies
were starting to chase pretty good as well. As usual Jim and Scott did
a great job, in fact I am probably going back for the muzzleloader
season and hunt myself.
